The purpose of a community college is to enable high school graduates to further their
education. Mount Wachusetts Community College has endeavored to make this searching for
higher education fruitful and worthwhile. The opportunities for students are in Business
Administration, Business Technology, Executive Secretarial, Engineering Technology, Lib-
eral Arts and General Studies.

As Mount Wachusetts grows from its small campus consisting of one building to its
future campus, the hope is that it has been able to graduate men and women who can
work capably and successfully in the world today.

The Mount Wachusetts

Community College

Yearbook

Published by the Class

of

1967

Mrs. Sylvia Miner
ADVISOR

A dedication can never be a proper tribute to a man for his sacrifice. Two
years ago Dr. John Wuornen retired as Chairman of the history department,
Columbia University, and moved, with his wife, to their cherished Elm street
home. Then, to ease the inevitable first problems of Mount Wachusett
Community College with his wisdom and experience, he accepted a new
roll, Dean of Faculty, and delayed the golden years of writing, reverie, and
just relaxation. To the dean our affectionate thank-you. We wish Dr. and
Mrs. Wuorinen the eventual fulfillment of all their dreams.
